> The Expedition Ship

Le Mangier, is representative of working boats.

Le Manguier is a former tug boat built in 1968 in Lorient (Chantiers Laperrière) and bought to the French Navy in December 2002.

Le Manguier has been chosen for its qualities of strength and hardiness, which represent a great security for this kind of expedition. Its size, weight and conception make it really representative of the merchant ship’s fleet, on a reduced scale. The boat is now equipped with a brand new engine of lower capacity in order to decrease fuel consumption.
