According to a recent IEA (International Energy Agency) report, 60% of petroleum is used for worldwide transportation. The maritime sector alone represents the greatest part of oil consumption. That shows how important is the least fuel saving made in this sector.
The project Bastia > Tokyo through the Northeast Passage, first step to the great Pacific Exploration, offers realistic solutions to navigate in a better way and to take care of our oceans, and through this medium I wish to join up the many initiatives that are implemented to preserve the equilibrium of a planet already much threatened.
